One-Day Retreat of Botanical Colour, Connection, Creative Adornment & Crystal Vibrations

The Alchemies Studio & De-Havilland Workshop, Bentley,

 We’re delighted to invite you to the third in a new series of boutique Retreats, Events, Masterclasses  and Workshops presented by The Alchemies® — Each one is unique and a doorway into resonance, beauty and connection. Following our first retreat in Italy, our beautiful and bountiful open day last week, we are now excited to share a creative experience in sacred ceremony with nature. 

This gathering takes place in two amazing spaces, bringing together natural colour and crystalline sound, led by local botanical artist Tara McDonald and Alchemies founder Genevra Jolie, held within the inspiring spaces of the Bentley Estate in East Sussex.

You may choose between:

A soft cotton scarf, included in your session, perfect to wear or use beneath your bowls

Or upgrade to create a luxury Alchemies® mulberry silk slip, designed to cradle your Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowl with elegance and energetic intention.

Silk slips are available in sizes to fit: 6", 7", 8" bowls

(Valued at £100. Available in sizes to fit 6", 7", and 8" diameter bowls. Also beautiful for personal use beyond the bowls.)

You’ll spend the day:

Visiting the Alchemies Studio 

Learning the beautiful process of natural bundle dyeing with fresh, homegrown flowers under the guidance of Tara. Taking a guided walk in the meadows.

Creating a one-of-a-kind dyed silk singing bowl slip bag, created exclusively for this workshop. 

Immersing in the joy of colour,  art and alchemy.

Connecting with the elements, each other, and your own creativity

Receiving an elevated Sound Immersion with Genevra, Designed to deeply ground your presence and uplift your senses.

About Tara

Tara McDonald is a botanical artist and founder of Tara Macdonald Botanical Dye, a practice born from her deep love for the beauty and subtlety of natural colour. Her fascination with plants began in childhood, with flower presses and a well-thumbed copy of The Observers Book of Wildflowers always in hand.

After years spent working as a professional gardener in some of the world’s most celebrated gardens, Tara’s passion evolved into the art of botanical dyeing. From her studio on the Sussex coast, she grows and gathers materials from her dye garden and local environment to create exquisite, naturally dyed pieces.

Her work is grounded in sustainability and a profound connection to the cycles of the natural world. Each piece she creates speaks to both history and hope — an invitation to slow down, connect, and welcome a little plant magic into your life.


About Genevra

Genevra Jolie is a pioneer in crystal sound healing and founder of both The Alchemies® and Crystal Singing Bowls UK. With over 27 years of experience in both private and public healthcare, she has held space for individuals from all walks of life, leading group work, workshops, and shared healing.

An artist, designer, and conscious creator, Genevra curates one of the most exquisite collections of Alchemy Crystal Tones® Singing Bowls in Europe. Her work bridges sacred sound, aesthetic beauty, and deep restoration — creating experiences that awaken, uplift, harmonise and restore. With over 25 years of experience in both private and public healthcare, she has held space for individuals from all walks of life, designing sound practitioner training, mentoring, leading group work, workshops, and shared healing.

A crystal sound artist, ceramist, healer, designer and entrepreneur, Genevra curates one of the most exquisite collections of Alchemy Crystal Tones® Singing Bowls in Europe. Her work bridges sacred sound, aesthetic beauty, and deep restoration — creating experiences that awaken, uplift, and restore.

Genevra has brought to life The Alchemies Studio, a space built with alchemy in its foundations. Designed to be a beautiful home of a special curated collection of Alchemy Crystal Tones® Singing Bowls and Guardian Sets®, it is a sanctuary for those who seek healing, alignment, and deeply enriching conversations.

About the De Havilland Dyers Workshop


A space that brings the colour of costume in the film industry alive.

Next door to The Alchemies Studio, the De Havilland Dyers Workshop is where some of the most amazing costumes are brought to life with rich, expressive colour. Most recently used for creations in productions such as Game of Thrones, it offers an inspiring and creatively charged setting. This workshop will be our home for the hands-on botanical dyeing session with Tara. A working space where cinematic history and artistic exploration meet.
